Born and raised in St. Louis, Gary began working for Rottler Pest Control while in high school at CBC and college at St Louis University and UMSL.  At the time, his father, Fred, ran the business. With his brother Mike, he would eventually take control of the company in 2000.

Since taking over the business from his father, Gary and his brother Mike have grown the company into a million-dollar operation that reached over $25 million in revenue in 2020.  Rottler has become the largest privately-owned pest control company in Missouri and is ranked among the top companies nationwide by PCT magazine.

With over 40 years of experience, Gary has worked in a wide variety of locations, including, airports, hospitals, schools, and even Busch Stadium and Scottrade Center.  This experience has led him to be one of the top pest management resources in the area.  Gary has served on committees for National Pest Management Association.

Gary’s role is working with and creating new business for apartments, condominiums, and commercial properties.  Gary is credited for signing on the Cardinals, the Blues, and the Saint Louis Zoo and BJC.  Gary helps manage these large accounts as well as others. He is also responsible for purchasing/leasing our fleet vehicles and large equipment purchases.

Personal Life

Gary is involved in his local community Alliance Credit Union, CID Community District in for the City of St John He is the Past-President of the Community Associations Institute, Heartland Chapter. Gary and his wife Janet have been married for eight years, and have four children, Gary Joseph (Joe), Mark, Maggie, and Matthew. Finally, empty nesters; each welcomed new grandbabies this year Gary Rottler III, Colin, Easton, and Everly.

Gary and Janet enjoy traveling, and spending time in Florida.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

A carpenter.

What is your favorite trip and why?

Florida, he loves going to any beach.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Gary enjoys watching hockey, fishing, and sitting beachside with his wife Janet.
